What are Insulated Concrete Forms?

ICF stands for Insulated Concrete Forms. They are hollow foam blocks that are stacked into the shape of the exterior walls of a building, reinforced with steel rebar, and filled with concrete. Once the concrete sets, you have a steel-reinforced concrete wall with continuous insulation on both sides.

ICF buildings are incredibly strong, and energy-efficient, as they combine one of the strongest structural building materials (steel reinforced concrete) with one of the finest insulating materials (expanded polystyrene). They are easy to maintain and will last for decades.
